The End of the World Train Tour is an activity that should not be missed during your visit to the charming Ushuaia.

The activity begins when you leave the End of the World Station, located in municipality of Ushuaia. This is where you will board the Austral Fueguino Railway (FCAF) to take a ride to Tierra del Fuego National Park. Originally known as the “prison train”, this means of transport served an old penal colony that was once in the area.

This historic tour takes you through the Canadon del Toro in unique locomotives. You’ll travel alongside the Pipo River, passing over the Quemado Bridge. One of the attractions you’ll see is the La Macarena Waterfall station, where there is a reproduction of a Yamana settlement, the indigenous people who once inhabited these lands. You’ll also visit a lookout point where you can see the Pipo River valley and the waterfall.

On the way to Tierra del Fuego National Park, you’ll see the remains of the logging works carried out by prisoners for decades. In addition to enjoying the natural landscapes of the subantartic forest, you’ll skirt the turbal (wetland) until you reach National Park Station, where you’ll turn to return the End of the World Station. At the tour’s conclusion, you can take another excursion through the park, which must be reserved if you wish to explore the park. Get ready to admire the natural splendor of Ushuaia!
