Come and live a day of exploration and adventure with Turtles and Crocodiles Adventure, visiting Ventanilla, the Tonameca Lagoon, and Mazunte where the National Turtle Center is located. This 5-7 hours attraction starts at Ventanilla, an enchanting and small village situated at the Oaxaca Coast that received its name as a result of a natural rocky formation.

Then we’ll take a boat ride along the Tonameca Lagoon, an extensive mangrove where a wide variety of species can be found such as woodpecker birds, herons, iguanas, and a crocodile’s community. You will observe crocs of all ages as well as newborn ones, and we'll explain you about a crocodile farm where they're protected of hunters. Our professional guide will give you details about this incredible ecosystem, and how locals work to preserve and maintain all these species.

Later we’ll drive to Mazunte a small village popular by its virgin beaches and without any tourist developments; right there you will visit Natural Cosmetic Mazunte, a local industry that produces: creams, oils, shampoo and soaps, all of them elaborated with 100% natural raw materials. If you want you can optionally purchase any of these products, and then we’ll continue our stroll to the Turtle National Center, an association created for protecting the environs and turtles against hunting. Here you will observe seven of the eight species of marine turtles that exist in the world as well as learn about reproduction and preservation processes.

This is one of the most interesting attractions if you visit Huatulco as you will have the opportunity to explore amazing ecosystems, admiring species in its natural environs, and discover how the locals work for protecting their community.
