  • Overview

This show is a representation of the history of Panama through folk music and dance. You'll watch as dancers wear their national costumes and perform to live music played on acoustic instruments made of parts of plants and shells. The show takes you through the history of the country, beginning with the indigenous Indian groups that inhabited the area, followed by the Spanish conquerors that brought their influence from the Old World, and the Afro-Caribbean people who arrived later for the construction of the canal.

You'll get to see the women's national costume, called the pollera, made from cotton, which is complemented by intricate pieces of jewelry. The men's attire is relatively simple, except for their hats, finely made by local artisans. You are sure to have a wonderful evening watching a good show and enjoying a fine dining experience.
