Mining Camp Restaurant is located by the Superstition Mountain in Apache Junction, a small town east of Phoenix. This shanty style restaurant is a local family favorite as they serve plentiful quantities of barbeque ribs, roast chicken, baked ham and charbroiled steaks, and offer special rates for children. The Mining Camp Restaurant is open seasonally, from November to May. Other family-friendly restaurants in Phoenix are Rustler's Roost, near downtown, Organ Stop Pizza in Mesa, and Rainforest Cafe in Tempe.
