Nightlife in Orlando, USA: Nigthclubs, Dance clubs & more

Nightlife in Orlando Florida

Although Orlando is renowned as the theme park capital of the world, when the sun goes down there's still loads of things to do to keep the fun going. There really is something to suit everyone, from laid-back bars to high-energy dance clubs and huge entertainment complexes. Throughout the Orlando area you'll find clubs, restaurants and bars where you can live it up and enjoy all that Orlando's nightlife has to offer.

You can party on Church Street and check out the likes of Club Paris Orlando or the Big Belly Brewery, then head down to International Drive and keep the night going at the Glo Lounge Orlando or the POSH Ultraclub. If you enjoy live music then take a stroll around the cobblestone streets of the Mercado shopping mall, where you'll find lots of restaurant/bars offering free live shows and entertainment. Even the theme parks are in on the nightlife action, with Disney's Downtown offering a range of entertainment options for all ages.

We also have to mention Universal's City Walk that is bursting with life after dark, offering a tremendous variety of dancing and dining options, including the world's largest Hardrock Cafe! With all this going on it's easy to see why Orlando is one of the top tourist destinations in the world.

Downtown Orlando

Nightlife in Orlando Florida

As the theme parks wind down for the day Downtown Orlando really kicks into gear with its abundance of clubs, bars and restaurants. In the main, the activity is centered around Orange Avenue, Downtown Orlando's the main thoroughfare, although there are plenty of nightspots clustered around the hotspots of Magnolia Street, Church Street, and Pine Street as well.

Interestingly, Orlando was one of only a few U.S cities to really have an underground DJ and dance music scene, during the late eighties and early nineties, that compared to the U.K. This scene really helped shape Orlando's incredible nightlife, making it what it is today. DJ's from around the world and international dance acts have been performing at clubs, like the iconic Club Firestone, for over 15 years, offering fans of house and techno an incredible clubbing experience. Downtown Orlando isn't all electronic music though, there are also lots of places to enjoy live bands, indie music, alternative rock and more. Take a trip Downtown, you won't be disappointed.
