This avenue is home to dozens of restaurants, cafes, and bars housed in large, elegant mansions from the Porfiriato era that have been renovated and become favorite haunts of young people in the city. It is considered to be Guadalajara's version of Mexico City's Zona Rosa. On Saturdays the avenue sidewalk fills with street vendors selling handicrafts, painting exhibitions, and musicians playing until the early hours of the morning.

For a great atmosphere, head to these two avenues that feature a number of large nightclubs playing the latest music. There are clubs with music for all tastes, including '80s nights, house music, pop, trance, and much more.
Guadalajara has one of the largest LGBT communities in the country, and this can be seen in the number and variety of gay bars and clubs in the downtown area of the city. Many of these clubs offer impressive "performance" shows. The "Zona Rosa" area of Guadalajara also has a number of exclusive gay bars.

The nightlife in the heart of the city can be appreciated in memorable nights of opera, philharmonic orchestras, and recitals. Take advantage of the free performances on Tuesdays, or check out the billboard to see if there will be any other special complimentary events.
Guadalajara offers a large number of concerts throughout the year. Famous Mexican and international artists come to put on a performance in the many auditoriums and theaters of the city, including Teatro Diana, Foro Vallarta, Auditorio Telmex, and Teatro Estudio Cavaret.
