Although this is the most convenient airport for people traveling to Fort Lauderdale, they can also fly to Miami International Airport, which is 25 miles away from the city.

Port Everglades is the second busiest cruise port in the US after Miami, and it's the main cargo port in Florida. Located just two miles from the airport, it is considered to be one of the top tax-generating ports in the United States.
