Valle de Bravo is one of the most picturesque, bohemian and agreeable towns just a few miles from Mexico City. It is surrounded by an oak wood and a water dam, its beautiful cobbled streets and red roofs’ white houses give a touch of charm to this place declared a “Pueblo Magico” (Magical Town) by the Mexican Department of Tourism. This enchanting town is popular by its natural beauties and cultural attractions that make of Valle de Bravo a frequently visited destination for tourists from all around the world.
During this tour we’ll take you to discover “Carmel Maranatha” that means “Come Lord”, which is a Spiritual Center that features a gorgeous quarry architecture and was built by the Barefoot Carmelites Order during the 70’s. The next stop is a spectacular Artificial Lake, one of the main attractions in town where locals enjoy water activities and boat rides.
Then we’ll go to visit “La Pena” a crag that once was inhabited by the “matlatzincas” and features a viewpoint for admiring a stunning panoramic landscape.
Just 15 minutes away from the village's downtown area we will see the “Velo de Novia Cascade”, a 115 feet waterfall that you can admire in its entire splendor as well as the amazing environs around. We’ll also take a stroll around Valle de Bravo Historic Center where optionally you can do some shopping and enjoy a delicious typical lunch.
The end for this incredible adventure is a guided visit to the renowned Monarch’s Butterfly Sanctuary. These gorgeous Monarchs of bright-orange color wings travel from Canada to Michoacan, in Mexico, towards the end of November to March, offering a unique spectacle. We’ll explore Michoacan’s wood rugged with colorful butterflies that arrive in colonies of more than 20 millions to these territories for feeding, mating and starting the return to their home.
