Come to explore two of the most beautiful cities in Mexico with picturesque cobbled streets, colonial architecture and a past rich in legends and mysticism: Queretaro and San Miguel de Allende are located 3 hours away driving from Mexico City; both represent an interesting proposal for enjoying Mexican culture’s roots, delicious typical cuisine and its people’s warmth.
Our first stop is at the gorgeous Queretaro where you’ll have the opportunity for discovering the Aqueduct, an antique and local icon considered one of the most important 18th century urban development built for bringing fresh water to the city. We’ll also take a stroll around its picturesque Historic Center, with cobbled-stone streets as well as visit the “Cerro de las Campanas” (Bells Hill) a splendid recreational spot with an array of green areas, playground and an artificial lake.
Then we’ll go to San Miguel de Allende arriving at lunch time when you’ll have some free time for enjoying your meal at any of the restaurants around or if you prefer we can suggest you one. At this city once home to the famous Mexican comedian Cantinflas, you’ll explore an array of interesting spots such as the gorgeous Parrish of San Miguel Archangel, San Francisco Church or Ignacio Allende's home, an important figure of Mexican Independence.
At San Miguel de Allende you’ll meet enchanting coffee shops and restaurants, as well as an intense cultural life, and the atmosphere of a typical colonial city. Why not spending an afternoon at these mild, beautiful and picturesque cities with a lot of history and unique architecture inherited from pre-Hispanic culture.
