If you want to explore the Mayan World, the Puuc Route is a “must” in case you visit Yucatan. This a popular archaeological region located south of Merida, and its itinerary includes the following areas: Loltun caves, Labna, Sayil and Xlapac.

Our first stop will take place at Loltun where stunning stalagmites and stalactites formations can be found as well as cave painting that date back to Pleistocene period. These caves have an extension of 6 miles approximately but only 1 mile of the total has been explored.

We continue towards Labna a small archaeological Mayan site that features a 2- story temple called The Palace, a sacred stoned road or “sabec”, and The Arch a beautiful monument that still keeps its rich sculptural elements, and it is 9 feet wide.

Then we’ll go to Sayil a city located in a valley surrounded by hills and built by connected roads or “sabec”. The most visited temples here are: The Great Palace, El Mirador, the Ball Game Court, and Jambas’ Temple.

Finally we will take you to enjoy lunch at Mision Uxmal hotel, where you’ll have the opportunity for getting relaxed and try Mexican cuisine delights.
