During this 4-hour attraction we’ll take you to explore the most picturesque and traditional areas in downtown Acapulco, with the opportunity of enjoying a city tour and the world-famous divers of La Quebrada spectacle, or the alternative of this stroll but visiting the San Diego Fort. This attraction starts, in both services, at the Main Street and heartbeat of Acapulco: the Costera Miguel Aleman Avenue that is Acapulco’s tourist corridor, where you’ll find an array of colorful restaurants, bars and handicraft stores.
Then we’ll visit Capilla de la Paz Church situated at the top of Acapulco’s Bay and popular by its 137 feet cross visible anywhere in the dock. If you want to purchase typical handicrafts nothing like exploring the Market for getting a Mexican souvenir, and also a good opportunity for meeting the locals.
After doing some shopping we’ll go to the city downtown, stopping by the Nuestra Senora de la Soledad Cathedral, formerly a movies studio, and since 1930 became a Cathedral. Our next stop is La Caleta beach where we’ll visit the traditional Flamingos hotel. Finishing this stroll you can enjoy one of our two options.
LA QUEBRADA:
If you take La Quebrada option you’ll have the opportunity of enjoying the most famous spectacle in Acapulco, where a group of brave cliff divers plunge from a 45 meter cliff in a sheer inlet of the Pacific Ocean. These intrepid cliff divers should synchronize the entrance in the ocean with an upcoming wave to grant enough water as well as consider the wind and the height of the wave. SAN DIEGO FORT:
A visit to the San Diego Fort is the option for those people avid to explore culture, traditions as well as Acapulco history. This was the most important Spanish fortress in the Pacific built in 1617 for protecting the city of pirate’s attacks.
