Come to Cempoala, one of the various archaeological sites that can be found in the State of Veracruz. On this tour, we will take you to a place called "Veinte Aguas" (20 Waters), surrounded by various rivers located in the region. Once in Cempoala, considered the second capital of the Totonaca Empire before the Azteca Empire took over, admire various archaelogical pyramids like the "Templo Mayor," the "Templo de las Chimeneas," the "Circulo de los Gladiadores," the "Templo de las Caritas" and the "Templo de Dios Viento y de la Cruz." Learn everything there is to know about this archaelogical site and Totonaca culture when visiting the site's museum.

After visiting the Cempoala archaelogical site, we'll go to the picturesque town of La Antigua where important historic icons of Veracruz are located, such as the "Ermita del Rosario," the first Catholic church in Mexico, Then there is the house of the Spanish conqueror Hernan Cortes and the first city hall of the Viceroyalty of New Spain.

The tour ends with the San Juan de Ulua Fortress, located in front of the Port of Veracruz. This fort was very important during the colonial times, the Independence of Mexico and during the Revolution. It was used to store grains as well as functioned as a fortress against pirates' assaults, and as a prison.
