Getting to know its streets, its houses and mainly its people will make of your journey an unforgettable experience. On the way to Cafayate, situated 180 km away from the capital city of the province, you will get to know breathtaking sceneries and landscapes such as the Valle de Lerma, leaving colonial villages and churches behind.
A first mandatory stop among the villages of Talapampa y Alemania is the Posta de las Cabras, a place where you can taste a great variety of goat cheese accompanied with wines from the area.
After a short break, we head to “La Quebrada de las Conchas” declared a natural monument by UNESCO, also known as “Quebrada de Cafayate”, where we will find amazing rock formations. Those formations are mostly in red and were changing into different shapes over time. Due to the erosion of the wind and rain, La garganta del Diablo and the Anfiteatro were formed. The Anfiteatro has an amazing acoustic and is the place where the locals, playing traditional instruments, receive the tourists.
