Gran Hotel Queretaro was built in the 19th century over a piece of land that used to be a part of the Convento Grande de San Francisco (San Francisco's Great Convent) during Viceroyal times. In 1985 it was sold, restored and turned into a mall, now it became a hotel.
Gran Hotel Queretaro, is a witness to important epochs of Mexican history. This hotel opened its doors on June 12th 2006, to receive those visitors who enjoy staying at luxurious and ample guestrooms featuring state-of-the-art technology and providing the utmost comfort to its guests.
