Built in 1908, the hotel Gran Ciudad de Mexico is a historical landmark and an architectural jewel; the first Art Noveau building ever made in Mexico. It features an enormous Tiffany stained-glass ceiling made by Jacques Gruber and elevators from the 20th century. Its architecture and interior design is richly ornamental, characterized by sinuous, asymmetrical lines based on plant forms with a lot of brass, ivory and marble details.
The Gran Ciudad de Mexico evokes all the grandeur of the 19th century offering all the comfort and luxury of the present.
