This legendary hotel was built in 1923, so close to the archeological site of Chichen Itza that some rooms have an impressive view of the Mayan temples. The hotel was designed by Sylvanus G. Morley, head of the Carnegie expedition that reconstructed Chichen Itza in the 1920’s. This rustic yet modern and elegant hotel features three swimming pools, four restaurants and numerous day and night activities such as live music, folkloric dance shows, horseback tours, bicycle rental and guided tours to the pyramids.

The main wing of the Hotel Mayaland has 55 rooms and five multi-room guest suites. In addition, individual, dual and triple-unit villas are nestled among the trees and flowers of the beautifully landscaped hotel. Hand-carved mahogany woodwork and delicate stained glass decorate the property, along with the many exotic birds and butterflies that reside in our gardens. The villas all have large, shaded terraces and verandas, a perfect place for relaxing after a day visiting Mayan temples.
At Mayaland Hotel and Bungalows, you can enjoy our three restaurants, where you'll try traditional Mayan dishes as well as Mexican and international entrees throughout the day. In the evening, we have a cocktail hour in our elegant courtyard, serving the finest Yucatecan cuisine. Pavarotti restaurant offers delicious buffet meals for groups only.
